The Rise of APP MOM 2.0
Move over, moms are passing the banter faster than the baton being passed by Usain Bolt in a 400 meter relay race.
The $8.3 trillion US “mom” market wants “simple solutions to everyday problems and ways to enrich their children’s lives” (source: Forrester)
• 94% are downloading content “to keep junior occupied” (source Greystripe )
• 91% would purchase a product knowing it will help support the environment and over 59% of moms are looking for educational apps for their children (source: Edelman/Greystripe 2009)
…and all these moms are chatting at the park, the grocery store line, the school pick up line, and over wine at the book club. To be honest, about the only thing moms aren’t doing these days is reading the book for the “Book of the Month Club (…but if they are it’s on their kindle or iPad).
